About a 2-hour, 45-minute direct flight from Paris, Corfu is one of the Greek islands easiest to reach from France. Flight duration, airlines serving the route, departure airports, and booking window: here’s what you need to know, whether you’re traveling as a couple or organizing a group trip for a seminar.
A direct flight from Paris to Corfu takes about 2 hours and 45 minutes: just under three hours for a little over 1,700 km as the crow flies. The return flight is slightly longer, at around 2 hours and 55 minutes, as prevailing winds slow down planes flying westward.
With a layover, the total travel time depends mainly on the layover duration: it often takes half a day, sometimes longer. For a group, this is a strong argument in favor of a direct flight: a single boarding, no layovers to keep track of, and luggage that arrives at the same time as the passengers.
Corfu is finally on Greek time: it’s one hour ahead of Paris all year round. A flight departing from Orly in the late morning therefore lands in the middle of the afternoon, local time.
Two airlines currently offer direct flights between Paris and Corfu: Transavia, departing from Orly, and easyJet, departing from Roissy-Charles-de-Gaulle. During the high season, flights are available almost every day, with several departure times depending on the day of the week.
Flight schedules vary from season to season: departure times, frequencies, and resumption dates change every year. Before setting the dates for a trip—and especially for a seminar—always check the current schedule directly on the airlines’ websites.
Located south of Paris, Orly is the departure airport for Transavia flights to Corfu. It is served by Metro Line 14, which was extended to the airport.
Located northeast of Paris, Roissy Airport serves easyJet flights to Corfu. It is connected to downtown Paris by the RER B line.
Upon arrival, all flights land at Ioannis Kapodistrias International Airport (code CFU), the island’s only airport. Paris isn't the only departure point. During the season, several French cities offer direct flights to Corfu, which makes a big difference when the members of a group don't all live in the Île-de-France region.

For most travelers, a direct flight is the obvious choice whenever it's available. A layover remains a fallback option, especially during the off-season or when direct flights are fully booked.
Ticket prices vary significantly depending on the season and demand: summer—particularly July and August—remains the busiest time of year. Spring and fall often offer a better balance between price, availability, and weather. These are, in fact, the seasons we prefer for seminars, as shown in our article on Corfu in October.
The safest approach is still to plan ahead, especially for a group: the later you book, the fewer seats will be available on a given flight and the fewer suitable departure times there will be. For a seminar, booking flights as soon as the dates are set helps ensure the group isn’t split up across multiple flights.
When organizing a seminar, flights are no longer just a matter of the fare at the ticket counter, but of logistics: getting everyone on the same flight, at the right times, with their luggage arriving on time. Most airlines offer group reservations—usually for groups of ten or more passengers—with terms and conditions specific to each airline, such as a deposit, a deadline for submitting passenger names, and change policies.
